Iconic Stone Gargoyle

Stone Gargoyle

THE STONE GARGOYLE

Back in 1996, their co-founders Greg Koch and Steve Wagner chose a gargoyle to represent Stone Brewing. But it was, and still is, more than just a logo. It represents everything they stand for. In the same way people placed gargoyles on buildings to ward off evil spirits, the Stone Gargoyle watches over them and their fans – protecting them from cheap ingredients, chemical additives and general mediocrity, the modern day evil spirits of beer.

STONE IPA
Originally brewed to celebrate their first anniversary in 1997, Stone IPA was an immediate hit and soon became the flagship beer of their young brewery. One of the most well-respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with tropical, citrusy, piney hop flavors and aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. Over time, they stepped up the dry-hopping process to extract every bit of magic out of the amazing hops they use. This beer is as bold, fresh and flavorful today as it was back in '97.
Suggested candy pairing: Classic Candy Corn

STONE ENJOY BY 10.31.21 HAZY IPA
Stone Enjoy By 10.31.21 Hazy IPA is here to haunt your beer fridge with a hazy look and a heavy helping of Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo and Nelson Sauvin hops. But the refreshing dryness and huge tropical fruit flavors in this double IPA are nothing to be afraid of. The only thing that would truly be terrifying is missing out on this frighteningly fresh creation. 9.4% ABV
Suggested candy pairing:  Sour patch kids

STONE ///FEAR.MOVIE.LIONS HAZY DOUBLE IPA
Stone ///Fear.Movie.Lions Hazy Double IPA is an 8.5% blend of cross-country styles. It's got the bitter hoppy backbone you'd expect from a West Coast IPA, with a slight haze and massive aroma you'd typically find in an East Coast style IPA.

Keeping the geography theme going, it gets its name from what 3 words, a global positioning system that assigns three words to every three-meter square on the globe. Look up ///fear.movie.lions and it'll lead you to Stone Brewing Richmond - their East Coast home in Virginia where the beer was first released!

This is their take on a hazy East Coast Double IPA. Juicy and smooth with just the right touch of West Coast bitterness in the finish. The aroma on this beer is insane and reminds us of getting fresh fruit from a farm stand on the side of the road. Now, make that a farm stand on the side of the road in Yakima, WA during hop harvest. The aroma of fresh hops envelops!

Suggested candy pairings: Salted Caramel Truffle or chocolate covered strawberries.
